my art is recognizably mine.Chinese with wide range of subjects. i have managed to keep this style in my other media as well. and for many paintings I combine both the free style and the Gong bi or detail. i had not even noticed until several master Chinese artists commented on this.
art is Sosum...sosum is the artist name given to me by my teacher. the root character is thread of silk and painting on silk happens to be a reason for learning traditional Chinese painting. but it also means peace of heart or peaceful heart.
My art has not changed over the years but in its ancient style it has also allowed a modern touch.
I now use my years of working in traditional Chinese style to paint in the world of virtual reality. Or you may find me lecturing the pros of viewing fine art in virtual reality.
i think my biggest reason for creating art is to share it with the world. and for the joy it brings me.
I DID NOT BECOME AN ARTIST. I WAS BORN AN ARTIST AND HAVE SPENT MY LIFE PERFECTING IT.
